There was something about a winter white wedding that made Alicia’s heart skip a beat. An outdoor ceremony in the middle of winter was her dream. Of course this meant watching the weather day in and day out for weeks prior to the wedding day. She was beginning to wonder if it would happen…and then…it did! She kept her cool and Alicia & Andy ended up with the perfect day. A white terrain with a mix of sun, ending with a beautiful light dusting of fluffy snow.
Pine River Ranch served as the perfect backdrop. A venue that has awesome accommodations for the bridal party both to stay and prep for the big day as well as host the full wedding celebration from start to finish. AND grounds that are a photographers haven!
EVENTful Moments set up some of the cutest areas for guests to enjoy including a HOT Cocoa bar! It was the ideal touch for a brisk winter day. Sarah & Marissa are always on top of everything and know how to anticipate needs before they happen!! (Not to mention super fun to work with)!
The day started with a first look between Alicia and her dad. Alicia is one of five children but being the only daughter it made this moment that much more special! Randy savored every second!
One of the groomsmen had stood at the end of the hall and when he opened the small barn door the light poured in and at that moment I knew it was a perfect place for some portraits of Alicia!
As we ventured outdoors Andy was patiently waiting in a field of snow. Extremely anxious but very much excited to see his bride. He turned and was in awe of Alicia. Taking in all of her dress she spun around (the best she could in snow and Sorels), and Andy kissed his stunning bride and mother of his daughter, Eloise, and soon to be new baby due in September!
We roamed the property as best we could, a snowmobile may have helped but Alicia was a trooper doing all her portraits outdoors in her strapless gown from LaineeMeg Bridal. I have to say I was in heaven with all of the nooks and crannies including the old tub in the middle of the grounds!
The ceremony started with Eloise being pulled down the aisle by her Uncle. Loving every moment on that sled she was a happy camper for the duration. The guests were presented with a quilt to keep warm during the ceremony all handmade with a special tag on the inside to commemorate their day! Alicia and Andy said their I Do’s, goosebumps and all and were thrilled to be pronounced husband and wife.
The afternoon progressed and everyone enjoyed the toasts, cake and dancing. Eloise especially enjoyed the cake from, Just For the Smell of It. Loving the attention she made a decent size dent in the gluten free torte.
As the snow started falling they were off with a sparkler exit. It was the magical end to her winter wedding and although she would say they didn’t do things in the ‘right’ order…it’s their order and their story and they are happy happy happy!
