I feel like headshots, in the traditional sense are changing. I have companies requesting headshots but more to accompany what I would call BRANDING photos. DO I provide headshots with a simple, white or black background...of course! But including some with a natural outdoor background (weather it be nature or city buildings) is also something that adds versatility.
The other type of photos with regards to BRANDING photos is photos of my clients products and/ or them 'doing something'...walking, using their laptop, holding a mug, talking on the phone, interacting with another person. Things that represent what they do AND draw out their personality.
We aren't always smiling, SOMETIMES we are thinking, or writing, or brainstorming, or maybe truly laughing, and capturing those expressions as well as the typical headshot (looking and smiling at the camera, cropped in, half body, which are great for social media profile photos) is KEY!!
I provide variety for my clients so they have options for social media posts as well as any marketing material they may need photos for. Even if it's just photos of accessories that can represent a part of what they do or coincide with a post to make their online conversations more relatable.
If you need a BRANDING session let me know...happy to help strategize and figure out the best way to approach it!
