The Ebb & Flow...

February 07, 2013  •  5 Comments

As I learn the ebb and flow of the photography business and seasons within it, I find that sometimes it’s less about the business and more about me.  I don't mean to sound narcissistic, it's more about learning enjoying the moments in the in-between.  Being able to relax a bit…enjoy the BUSY-ness wedding season and fall bring BUT equally enjoy the quietness that winter is.  Bob would laugh at that statement for so many reasons;  I try to relax but I am soooo not good at it,  I say I am 'rollin' with the punches' but his thought is "really that's rollin'?",  and as for quiet, that probably isn't the word he would use to describe me!  Oh well it's me!!

So...although there aren’t a ton of January weddings or senior sessions for me it has been a time of entertaining friends, doing some special things with my girls, focusing on a few corporate clients and diving into a some new projects!

I have much to learn in this business and each season, each year I am learning to push myself, get uncomfortable YET take it as it is and savor it.  I choose to make this choice...to revel, live and have a little fun…most of all to take time for these two little ones that are growing up far to fast!!!

So here they are...the reason I do what I do...my inspiration...my loves!

Eva turns 7 this weekend...she is a bit Diva-ish 7 going on 17 ...BUT  gotta love her!

Little Miss Heidi...5 and ready for Kindergarten, this is her 'I'm not looking at the camera for you' look! And although they are starting to buck the trend of wanting photos together...they kindly obliged! At least they weren't making fun of the crazy lady behind the camera!
