She sat with her Starbucks tea and Ricola cough drops.  Trying to enjoy the morning pampering,  having her hair & makeup done for the biggest, happiest day of her life!!  But inside she really wanted to lay on the floor with a blanket and a bucket.  Never complaining, just taking deep breaths and trying not to move to fast!  Yep the bride was sick! 

I find people often cancel sessions due to sickness or weather BUT weddings never…what happens on the day of a wedding happens and no matter what, the show must go on!!  That is what Victoria did.   And me well I had to improvise.  How do we move along with the progression of photos despite how the bride feels yet remain empathetic.  (I mean she is an intricate part of most photos)

So what did we do…we found a couch for her to sit on and made the people come to her.  We did a few bridal party photos in the field with different groups then brought everyone to where she was.  Other than the random breaks to loosen her dress and sit with a bag…Victoria rallied!  Cameron was on board with getting the other pics we needed then checking in on his bride on and off.  It didn’t even feel like there was a hiccup in the day!

It came time for family photos so we found an area close to the reception hall and a chair.  Sitting when necessary but pushing through, we managed to capture many moments where Victoria seemed her bubbly self!  The ceremony progressed and she stood through the whole thing never waivering or even showing signs to anyone that she wasn’t feeling 100%.

During dinner and toasts we weren’t sure how long Victoria would last but after taking a bit of time away from the crowd a new bride emerged.  She busted up the dance floor like nobodies business!  Her and Cam left to a crowd cheering for them and all smiles! 

It’s their day,  their story and by the look of the photos I don’t think you would ever know!!
