I said the other day that I need more pedals on bike…well nothing has changed, I’m not sure if more pedals would make me go faster or just get in my way!?  What it reminded me is not that I need to go faster, BUT I need to know when to put on the brakes. 

(I secretly have always dreamt of being a unicycler...key word, 'dreamt'...if you want to own it you can find it on etsy)!

So what am I doing?  As fall approaches and my schedule is packed with fun family sessions, a few more weddings, birthdays and holidays…I am taking a little breather.   I need to sit back, read, expand my vocabulary. Thanks to facebook a new word came into my life 'auspicious' meaning conducive to future success.  I am ready to feel the Mexican sun on my skin & the wind in my hair (and not from pedaling a bike, more like from our resort waiter fanning me…ha I can dream).  I want to enjoy the calm before the storm…the storm I have come to love!

As I caught up on Modern Family last night, wise Manny (all of 13 years) spoke my philosophy of 'the journey and the destination'...

“They say the important thing in life isn’t the destination ….it’s the journey, the challenges you face along the way, the unexpected twists and turns, the disappointments you overcome.  But they are wrong, who ever “they” are. It’s all about the destination especially when the destination is an oceanfront hotel.”

As much of what he says is true I agree with his perspective …Mexico here I come… ready for less pedals and more auspicious R&R!!
